Virtual Session

Service Description

A virtual session expands the phone consult to include the Child Life Specialist working directly with the child through a virtual session. Our Child Life Specialist will facilitate a coping or therapeutic activity with the child to address the concerns identified through the initial intake. The Child Life Specialist will provide any pre-work or activity components to be utilized during the session to the child and family prior to the session. The session may include the parents or caregivers initially and will conclude with discussing the session with the caregiver, providing any additional resources, recommendations or follow-up. Virtual session vary in length from 30 minutes to one hour, depending on age and needs of the child. Depending upon the situation, some children may benefit from additional sessions.
