April Slowenski, CCLS, is the founder of Coastal Coping LLC, a Child Life private practice which has been providing virtual services across the United States and in-home services in New Jersey since 2021.

April brings nearly two decades of experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist, having worked in free-standing children's hospitals, small community hospitals, and launching a community-based child life service with a Medicaid pilot program. A passionate advocate for pediatric mental health, April is committed to increasing awareness and accessibility of Child Life services, as well as supporting emerging child life professionals.

Supplementing her child life certification, April holds a certification in Pediatric Massage Therapy (CPMT) through the Liddle Kidz Foundation, with additional training in pediatric massage for neurodivergent children, and NICU massage. She is also an Integrative Aromatherapy Practitioner (IAC) receiving her aromatherapy certification through the Institute of Integrative Aromatherapy.

In addition to virtual and in-home services for children and families, she delivers community and parent in-services, staff trainings in schools and pediatrician offices, and support services for child life students. She is contracted with the My Special Aflac Duck self-referral program, providing free free virtual child life services for children with cancer and blood disorders.
