About the event
To continue the support of mental health for child life professionals, Hearts Connected wants to support our fellow child life specialists by offering a space to discuss mental health topics with our webinar series, "Prioritizing the ME in Mental Health". In September, we are looking forward to hosting Kelli Sammis, Ed.D from Breathe for Change, an organization focused on running mind-body and social-emotional wellness trainings that unite, train, and support educators and professionals in enhancing individual and collective well-being. Kelli is a retired school leader who served Texas schools for nearly 3 decades. Her classroom teaching experience ranged from kindergarten to college, but more than half of her tenure was spent serving as a campus and district leader. She brought her passion for yoga, SEL, and educator wellness to the Breathe For Change team in 2021 and has the honor every day to work on initiatives to bring these tools to as many schools, districts, and organizations across the nation as possible because she believes that the most important resource that communities have are those that support our children. Breath is the one thing that all of us have access to every single day! This workshop will provide participants with their own personal tools for emotional regulation and stress relief through mindful breathing. And the best part is, these tools can be implemented into your professional role right away! *This event will be recorded, but you must be registered in order to view recording. Recording will only be provided upon request and in order for a certificate of attendance to be provided, registrant must receive at least an 80% on post-quiz. **By registering for this event, you are agreeing to have your contact information to be shared with Breath for Change.
